A Critical Temperature Mismatch
The CVe Monitor® Version 3 is advertised to operate at temperatures up to 90°C.
However, the battery used in the device is rated to only 85°C.
This creates a safety issue where the battery may be operating at or beyond its rated temperature during real-world use.
Even if a tool is expected to operate below 85°C, temperatures can exceed this during:
- Mold startup with cooling disabled
- Blocked or inefficient cooling lines
- Chiller or water system issues
These conditions are common and can cause safety risks while reducing the battery's lifespan.

Lithium batteries exposed to elevated temperatures can :
- Vent toxic gases
- Leak electrolyte
- Rupture
